Reliable Electronic Freeze Protection for the Cold Chain

PolSENSE™ is a compact electronic freeze indicator designed to monitor temperature exposure and identify accidental freezing events affecting temperature-sensitive products. The device is intended for storage, handling and transportation applications throughout the cold chain.

Unlike conventional chemical freeze indicators, PolSENSE uses electronic temperature sensing technology and provides a clear visual indication when the configured temperature threshold has been exceeded for the specified duration.

PolSENSE requires no user activation, calibration or maintenance. The device is factory preset and always active, with no start or stop function.

The PolSENSE family is available in three configurations: PolSENSE-O with a 10-minute alarm condition below 0°C, PolSENSE-Y with a 60-minute alarm condition below 0°C, and PolSENSE-G with a 60-minute alarm condition below −0.5°C.

PolSENSE monitors the temperature of its environment and displays whether the configured freeze exposure condition has occurred. It does not evaluate product quality itself; its purpose is to signal when product quality evaluation or testing may be required.

Reading the Indicator

Simple Visual Verification

Before reading the PolSENSE display, place it in an environment above freezing temperature for at least 2 minutes. Observe the display and note the indication shown.

If the display remains blank, expose PolSENSE again at room temperature and wait at least 2 minutes. If it remains blank, check the expiry date.
